Virtual or Face-To-Face Courses (100% Virtual o semi-virtual)

An enriching educational experience within set topics developed in a controlled learning environment. Our courses utilise conceptual tools and methodologies so that students analyse their chosen topics from conceptual perspective.


The Virtual School works based on a student-centred focus and fosters a collaborative learning process. Workshops and face to face sessions may be included.  Courses can be replicated.

Our courses generally run from 10 – 14 weeks and require a dedication of 10-12 hours a week, however these hours are flexible and can be utilised depending on the availability of the student. One of the advantages of virtual learning techniques is that our student’s only need to meet the minimum requirements of connectivity and obtain basic computer knowledge, regardless of residency it is possible to enrol in our virtual courses and participate with classmates in different regions and countries.

Up to 40 students with a specialised academic team (there are many different teaching possibilities based on the student’s profiles). The training programs can be combined with face to face workshops to help strengthen understanding of contents, teamwork and help to build cooperation networks among participants.

After completing the course, participants who successfully complete the process will receive an official certificate or diploma if the course is conducted in agreement with a university.

Our short courses operate on full or partial virtual basis. The “virtual classrooms” are structured for 35-40 students and include personalised teaching support.

The Virtual School teaching strategies include:

  • Self-management, positioning the student at the centre of the process.
  • Collaborative learning, encouraging peer cooperation.
  • Significant learning, helping students to analyze within their own context.

Students have access to different learning resources:

  • Contextualized teaching guides
  • Readings and multimedia resources
  • Virtual Library (more than 2,000 references and access to digital archives like JSTOR)
  • Video channels
  • Analytical and practical exercises
  • Discussion and chat forums
  • Bi-monthly newsletter updated with our academic offerings and areas of interest
  • News of interest in the areas of Human Development (HD), Democratic Governance (DG), Crisis Prevention and Early Recovery (CPR) and Information Communication Technologies (ICT), that permit knowledge though the virtual campus and virtual newsletter that is circulated twice a  month.
