Our Experience

• The Virtual School was launched in Cartagena in 2006 with the European Union and the Catalan Agency of Development Cooperation.

• Between the years 2001 and 2005, The Virtual School supported UNDP initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean, by facilitating internal training programs within areas of Human Development.

• From 2006 the Virtual School opened their academic offerings and targeted external students (outside of UNDP); public officials, journalists, women, youths, ONG, social and political organisations and universities. From this date up until 2010 the School have trained 4000 key representatives who work for the development of the Latin American region:

1100 youth (younger than 30 years old)
730 National and local administration officials
720 United Nations System Officials
700 teachers and education institution personal
450 NGO professionals, civic, social and political representatives
200 journalists
